Para mí, de siempre el comienzo del curso ha sido la señal del inicio de un año nuevo. El uno de septiembre tiene un significado especial. Por ello Isabel y yo preparamos nuestra lista de buenos propósitos. Uno de ellos es mi compromiso de compartir doce relatos y, como le escribí en una ocasión a Theresa, me tenían muy ocupado. También Isabel se está animando a sentarse ante el teclado para narrar y compartir sus ocurrencias.
For me, always the beginning of the course was the signal the start of a new year. The September 1st has a special meaning. Isabel and I prepared our list of good intentions. One of them is my commitment to sharing twelve stories and, as I once wrote to Theresa, they had me very busy. Isabel is also being encouraged to sit at the keyboard to narrate and share their occurrences.

Cuentos del norte y del sur.
De dieciséis a veinticuatro cuentitos (de hasta diez páginas cada uno). Tengo los borradores de los primeros siete. Dos ya los he revisado y estoy con las correcciones y las traducciones.
Northern and Southern tales.
From sixteen to twenty-four little stories (up to ten pages each). I have drafts of the seven firsts. I have reviewed two and I am with theirs corrections and translations.
La Reina del Norte.
Constará de seis cuentos de aproximadamente treinta páginas. Ya están los borradores de los dos primeros ("El tesoro de la Santa Sotera" y "La princesa analfabeta") y estoy redactando el tercero ("Satu quiere decir cuento de hadas") así como notas para los otros tres ("Palabra de caballero", "La Princesa de Carelia" y "La reina del Norte").
The Queen of the North.
It consists of six stories about thirty pages. The two first drafts are ended ('The Treasure of the Santa Sotera' and 'The Princess illiterate') and I'm writing the third ('Satu means fairytale') and notes of the other three ('Knight promise', 'The Princess of Karelia' and 'The Queen of the North').

Tengo notas para otras cinco o seis de extensiones por definir y por determinar si el contenido de una de ellas lo tengo que subdividir.
Stories of the southern peoples.
I have notes for five or six other with extensions to define and determine, and I do not know yet if the content of one of them it will have to be subdivided.
Una nota común en todos es la importancia que se le da a la comunicación. Los personajes que describo, como ejemplo de otras épocas, suelen ser políglotas. Igual que ellos voy a empezar a estudiar ruso y continuaré con el inglés para ir mejorando. De hecho trataré que mis publicaciones sean al menos bilíngües. Además confío que todo este esfuerzo ayude a mejorar mis perspectivas laborales pues en una situación de crisis como la que vivimos actualmente en España ayudar en casa con lo que gano haciendo fotocopias en la reprografía no es bastante.
Isabel este año tendrá por primera vez clases de francés y ha decidido intentarlo con el chino.
A common note in all is the importance given to communication. The characters I describe, are an example of the past, are often multilingual. As these ones, I will start studying Russian and continue improving the English. In fact I will try my publications will be at least bilingual. I also hope that this effort will help improve my prospects because in a crisis like the one we live in Spain with what I earn doing photocopying is not enough for helping at home.
Isabel this year will have her first French lessons and she decided to try with the Chinese too.
Como todos los primeros de años estoy muy ilusionado con la idea de sacar adelante mis escritos, una vez que por fin las ideas se han ido definiendo y que he ido desarrollando una rutina que me permite estudiar y trabajar. Nos iremos viendo con mas o menos asiduidad en la red. Hasta la próxima os envío saludos.
Like all the first days of the year I am very excited about the idea of sharing my texts, once finally that the ideas have been defined and I have developed a routine that allows me to study and work.
